ReadWrite.com from time-to-time like to predict if a technology related product or service is on its way to becoming extinct, and thus put the product or service on their “Death Watch.” Blue Ray & QR codes are two technologies that have recently been put on watch.
Today, they added Real Estate Multiple Listing Services to that Death Watch list. Why? Because the MLS databases are localized to areas that restrict Home Buyers from searching more broadly, as the national aggregator sites like Realtor.com, Trulia & Zillow allow.
As I work in a location that is located within a stones throw of the Indiana / Michigan border, I am wondering if there are Saint Joseph County Agents and Home Buyers out there who agree with what ReadWrite.com are predicting?
What is the future of localized MLS database searches for Home Buyers?
If any local Agents are in Orlando for the big NAR conference starting today, is this subject part of the discussion?
